Nicola is an Australian producer, writer and director. She is best known for a short documentary she directed “The Art of Doodling” (2018), winner of the Audience Award at Shortie Film Festival New York and officially selected for Melbourne Documentary Film Festival. “The Granny Flat” (2019) a short animation she produced, won Best Comedy at Australian Women’s Film Festival and was officially selected for Flickerfest International Short Film Festival, Revelation Perth International Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Cannes Antipodes and more.

Nicola’s work has been described as “forthright”. Exploring connections between feeling and place, she experiments with style to share alternative perspectives…often with a tongue in cheek twist.

Her experience ranges across different roles in pre-production, production and post-production in many formats including narrative features and shorts, documentary shorts, music videos, concert videos, PhD projects, as well as marketing and educational content creation.

In 2020, Nicola began producing, writing and directing her debut feature documentary, title to be announced, now in post-production.
